How to Save Money on one-way trips

Sonoma County Transit offers free transfers for one way trips. Transfers can save you money when using more than one bus or bus system.

When you pay your fare, state your destination and ask the bus driver for a transfer. If you are transferring between Sonoma County Transit routes, please pay for the entire trip on the originating bus.

Transfers from Other Transit Systems

Transfers from Santa Rosa CityBus, Petaluma Transit and Golden Gate Transit are accepted for a first (boarding) zone fare credit.  Additional charges for each zone traveled beyond the boarding zone are: Adult $0.50; Student $0.45; Senior/Disabled/Medicare Card Holders $0.25. Valid transfers from all other systems are worth $0.25 towards the fare on Sonoma County Transit. TRANSFERS ARE GOOD FOR TWO HOURS.
